    What is Host-Based Caching Analysis?

A simple solution to performance issues caused by storage resource contention is to use Solid State Disk (SSD) in the host machine to offload storage and network traffic, improve storage performance, and improve the application response time. SIOS iQ analyzes IO patterns across the virtual environment, including the actual disk blocks that are written. It characterizes the read ratio and load profile and automatically identifies the candidate VMs and specific disks that would benefit most from caching and makes specific configuration recommendations such as how much cache to add and what cache block size to configure. It also predicts through simulation the resulting cache hit rate as well as IOPs and latency improvements if the changes were to be made
